PUBLIC HEALTH PREPAREDNESS
Kingman County Health Department partners with local community partners and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) Preparedness Team to protect the health of Kingman County through preparing for, responding to, and recovering from the unexpected, whether it be natural disasters, terrorism, infectious disease, or mass casualty events.
Emergency preparedness is not a matter of if disasters happen-it’s a matter of WHEN. Having a plan for how you and your family will deal with disasters could be matter of life and death. See the link below as well as the “Quick Links” on the Health Department Website Home Page for information on preparing for emergencies.
Build a Kit; Make a Plan; Stay Informed
It takes all hands on deck in recovering from disaster. If you are interested in volunteering to help us in our emergency response activities, we need to hear from you BEFORE the emergency response is needed.
